“For Thou art with me.
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me . . .
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23)
This Sunday, I will be preaching on this well-known, beloved Psalm. The heart of this Psalm, in fact the verse that is smack dab in the middle of it, is: “For Thou art with me.”
It’s so simple. It’s so simple, and yet it is really a summary of the Gospel – isn’t it?
God is with us.
I invite you to spend a moment, right now if you’re able, and ponder what this means for you, for all of us at Elim, for our community, and for the world.
This is good news for us, my friends.
God is with us.
See you in worship, where we will celebrate this grand and marvelous truth,
Pastor Kathryn
