Little Shepherd Orphanage Centre And Preschool

Thanks for the incredibly generous gifts of support during Elim’s “Second Mile Giving” this past August, 2026. Over $2600 in donated gifts will lift and sustain the lives of children who are living and growing at Little Shepherd Orphanage and Preschool (LSOP).
Director Isaya Manungu opened the orphanage when he saw firsthand heartbreaking scenarios of small children who were simply abandoned on the streets in Kisongo, Tanzania. The LSOP staff consists of two additional teachers, a matron who lives with the children, a cook, and a night watchman for security. LSOP has moved into a larger building with room for a classroom and also a hostel space where the orphan children and matron live and sleep. The children are cared for with nutritious meals, clothing, medical attention, daily preschool and school learning time, as well as space to play, relax, and grow up with other children and caring adult caregivers. In addition to prayers, an ongoing need for LSOP is consistent funding. This is a living ministry in action – one that has created a safe home base in a loving, Christian environment for vulnerable children who would otherwise be on their own. Your tax-deductible donation to Elim's Tanzanian Mission Grant Program will allow us to continue providing grants to support Christian mission in Tanzania. Little Shepherd Orphanage Centre and Preschool (LSOP) and The New Life Band (NlB) are grantees of the program.
