New Life Ministries—Mission to Youth and Students of Tanzania

December 2025

MISSION TO YOUTH AND STUDENTS "REACHING YOUTH, TRANSFORMING LIVES”
by James Kiphizi for the New Life Band

This year has been one of the most challenging seasons for New Life Band in many years. As many of you know, our mission depends almost entirely on donations. Because of the economic struggles many of our friends, supporters, and partner churches have been facing globally, our ministry activities have been deeply affected. Traveling for our missions and school visitations, the main focus to our mission, has become nearly impossible because of the lack of sustained funding. These activities have always been our important bridge to reaching our youth, preparing for camps and building long term relationships with students and teachers.

This season has also been so challenging for our team as we have dedicated our lives to this mission. In the past, the  small amount of allowance we received helped us support our families as we traveled to serve. This year even the small amount of allowance was not always available. Yet through all these challenges, the team has remained committed, trusting that God sees every sacrifice.

We remain deeply grateful to the few churches that have continued to stand faithful with us by sending donations, encouragement and prayers. Your continued generosity has reminded us that God has not forgotten this ministry. Because of financial challenges we have been moving slowly and sometimes even pausing certain activities but never stepping back from our calling.  We continue to believe that this challenge season will come to an end, and we trust God to open new doors and show us new ways to raise support because our vision has not changed in reaching out more youth and students with the message of hope and transformation through Christ.

We also ask your prayers for our country as since our last national elections Tanzania has experienced tension, uncertainty and economic challenges. The political situation in Arusha and other parts of Tanzania has become fragile and we have had to take extra steps to keep our families safe and secure. We join many others in praying for peace, stability and a return to normalcy.

THE VISION REMAINS ALIVE
Despite of limited resources our mission stands firm: to teach our youth and students across Tanzania with the gospel through music, teaching, mentorship and community programs, all this to make disciples and prepare leaders in family, church, community and country.

The good news we want to share is that the NEW CABINET SECRETARY SELECTED NEW CABINET MEMBERS AFTER OUR NATIONAL ELECTION AND THREE FORMER YOUTH CAMP PARTICIPANTS have been selected. We pray and expect them to bring positive impact to the leadership of our country.

We continue trusting God for:
. Renewed financial provisions
. Open doors for school visitations
. Strength and encouragement for our team
. Opportunities to expand our reach out in 2026
. Creative ideas for raising support locally and from our supporters to meet our yearly budget of USD 43,000 to cover salaries, travels to school visitations, housing rent for band members, office rent, car insurances and services, and other activities.
. Unity and peace in our country. We know that God has carried us before and will continue to lead us forward.
