Winter 2023 NewsletterDear Friends,
We are grateful to our friends and supporters for continued prayers, advocacy, and generous financial support through all the years. These gifts have been a blessing to our ministry to youth and students in Tanzania. In this newsletter, we share information on our mission work and an update on the status of the New Life Skills Center.
NEW LIFE SKILLS CENTER We are excited about getting the New Life Skills Center up and running. Our Center will serve students from 13 - 35 years of age. We plan to open two initial phases: (1)Tailoring Technique Training, and (2) Introduction to Computers, English Course, and Entrepreneurial Skills. Goals of the New Life Skills Center: -equip students with essential life skills -enhance income generation -develop and foster self-reliance in a diverse youth population -create a tangible and lasting impact on the lives of youth, their families, and the community -give hope and future to students Funding needed to launch initial phase: $5,500 to purchase sewing machines, fabric, thread, student furniture and prepare the learning space. $4,500 to purchase ten desktop computers, student furniture, additional learning materials, and prepare the learning space. Your tax-deductible donation to Elim's Tanzanian Mission Grant Program will allow us to continue providing grants to support Christian mission in Tanzania. The New Life Band is a grantee of the program. More information about the grant program is available from the church office upon request.
