Having been a lifelong Lutheran and longtime friend of Pastor Brian, I participated in your Palm Sunday service. I belong to a small progressive Lutheran church - and though we are doing our best with an emailed bulletin and video sermon for the day, it was wonderful to have the addition of beautiful familiar music, the Creed and other words that bring comfort. We are all looking for the gifts of our current challenge and indeed one is seeing how the faithful are finding ways to worship together yet separately. And being able to reach across distance expands that gift even further. Thank you for the efforts it took to create your wonderful service. If it has reached me in Washington state, who knows where else it has traveled!

Thank you Pr. Brian, Roger and our musicians for this uplifting tender service of love. I felt I was with you and our Elim family. Pr Brian thank you for your gracious kind presence with us as we experience such difficult challenges. And for the story of Palm Sunday at your church in Santa Rosa, my goodness what a celebration. Peace

We have yet to make it through a service without shedding tears. Today's were both of joy and of memory. Thank you so much for the beautiful uplifting service, message, music, and for the prayers remembering Mom. Thank you also to the congregation for reaching out and praying for our family. We are so blessed to have the love of the Elim community in our lives.

Hi Kevin and Rosemary,

I apologize for mistaking your loss as your father instead of your mother. I didn't realize until I sent my general message that I could reply to you directly. May you stay well. Love, Judy

Thank you to all who helped make this beautiful service. It is the first time I went to church in my pajamas. Kevin, I was sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I wish you and Rosemary well.

Thank you for the beautiful service and the special music. I sure miss being at church and waving the palm
branches and saying Hosanna! Thank you for all of the work for putting the virtual service together.

Blessings to all! Thanks again for another meaningful service with a great message and fabulous music! Like at Elim, I knitted away on a prayer shawl as I listened, prayed and sang. Stay safe everyone. I look forward to worshipping with all of you again during this Holy Week.

    Recorded Worship

Elim's weekly worship services focus on the Narrative Lectionary, which follows the sweep of the biblical story arranged in a narrative sequence to help us see Scripture as a story that has coherence and a dynamic movement. The arc of Elim's Biblical teachings are rooted in this understanding of scripture.
