“Confirmation” may not be as important to parents/youth as it once was or maybe it is. I think some confirmation programs can be great and some can be a bust. Some churches have and are exploring alternative ways of doing faith formation / confirmation, including go at your own pace type programs and or more sporadic meeting times.
In short, we are not calling this "confirmation." The end goal of this program is not that youth would confirm their faith on a scheduled confirmation Sunday, but that...

Patrick

In short, we are not calling this "confirmation." The end goal of this program is not that youth would confirm their faith on a scheduled confirmation Sunday, but that...
- Youth would develop trusting and caring relationships with their peers, caring adults, and the pastor of Elim,
- Youth would be given the opportunity to learn new things and various perspectives, helping them to expand their worldview, and encouraging them to think critically as to what they believe is true for them (especially in matters related to God, faith, and religion).
- Youth would find this program interesting, life-giving, life-applicable and FUN!
peace,
Patrick
